We would like to thank our 7 Sector Advisory Councils for providing guidance and direction for our Fast Forward programs. Each Sector Council meets 3 to 5 times during the school year to share and discuss:

• Labour market information
• Authentic workplace materials
• Industry safety standards
• Technology use in the workplace
• Transferable skills
• Employer expectations

Sector Councils have primarily worked to create locally developed certificates in areas where industry need is greatest for entry-level positions. To date, 22 certificates within the 7 sectors have been developed. These certificates will give Fast Forward students a recognizable means to show prospective employers the skills that thy have attained.

The dialogue between teacher and employer groups through our Sector Advisory Councils has been crucial in promoting the Fast Forward program in the community and promoting awareness of workplace demands and opportunities for students.
